This is the place to discuss Pattie's book! I'm currently reading the book, and will come back with a review as soon as I'm done!

I was maybe planning on buying the book, but I read some reviews online and they weren't very positive...
So, I am curious to hear your review!

I finished the book a while ago! Forgot to review! Boyddog The reviews on the BB aren't very positive, but that's because it seems they cared less about Pattie, just George. I think it was a very good book, the stories from her childhood were really interesting and well written. Once she got to George it was differently interesting. Seeing their relationship begin, and eventually fall apart due probably to George's depression and definitely to Clapton's advances. Her descriptions of the houses, especially Friar Park, were great and gave me a vivid picture of them. I kind of wish I could explore Friar Park after reading about it. The George portion just shows a different side of him that's good to take into account. The Clapton section was also wonderful (tonight ). That did paint him in a bad light however, but it was a bad time for him. All the stories throughout are quite good, the only complaint I have is that the chronology was a bit wonky, she'd tell of something in 65, then 68, then back and end at 67. It was a bit hard to keep up with during the George section due to that, but the overall order isn't too hard to grasp. The part after Clapton wasn't bad either, but childhood through Clapton are the best sections in my opinion. It ends on a good note and definitely felt like a worthwhile read. It showed a lot about Pattie, her insecurities, her hopes. If you care about her story you won't be disappointed, if you love George and Eric, it's a great look at them through the woman they loved. The book I read was the library's, but when I have money I want to buy the book signed from her website.

Thanks for the review Mr. Kite. I don't think I'll be buying the book but I hope I'll be able to find it at the library.

They didn't have the book. I can still try going to another library, but I don't really expect that library to have it.
